PoE 3.23 Changes

The game will undergo a meta-revolution when Patch 3.23 comes out; it is expected to completely change everything we could predict about the game. If you are bored with what you have been doing till now, then this is the patch for you. We will be focusing on changes to gems, but if you want to get into details then read the whole patch notes.

Righteous Fire: The Big Nerf

The base damage dealt by Righteous Fire was significantly altered: before it was dealing 35% of your maximum life and energy shield as base fire damage per second and now it deals 70%. So if we wanted to achieve similar damage to what happened previously players needed to go for total life and ES values around seven thousand. However, this means most players will lose damage especially those between four and five thousand lives.

Skill and Quality Changes Galore

Expect all other skills to be majorly changed too since they are getting "quality" overhaul.

  • Summon Raging Spirit: There was a notable nerf for lightning and poison builds which reduced damage by 28-33%. It now has increased base damage per level that affects any build that wasn’t scaling off this type of damage.
  • Vortex: Cold dot builds suffered a severe blow with this skill losing its instant cast status plus hit damage being greatly reduced.
  • Explosive Arrow: Curiously enough, this skill has been un-nerfed, and may even be buffed going forward; this could mean a possible meta beast for the game.
  • Lightning Arrow: Now that it has been given pseudo chaining effect in the new skill versions, this skill might offer better clearing capabilities and improved single target damage.

Trap Skills and Offering Skills Get a Boost

The Ice Trap and Lightning Trap have more chances of triggering again after they were reworked. Also, offering skills no longer have long durations but rather stronger effects that makes sense for some types of builds

Legacy Items and Enchantments

Just so you know when planning your build—Ashes of the Stars will not increase reservation efficiency anymore.
