What Are the New Rewards and Strategies for Brewfest 2023 in WotLK Classic Phase 4?

Another year, another Brewfest, but before you dismiss it as just a rehash of last year's event, hold on! Brewfest 2023 brings exciting new reasons to dive into the festivities, including significant implications for gearing up and preparing for Cataclysm raids. If you're aiming to reach those Cataclysm raids faster, save hours on leveling, or upgrade gear for your alts, you've come to the right place. In this guide, we'll explore Brewfest 2023, which runs from September 20th to October 6th.

What Are the New Rewards and Strategies for Brewfest 2023 in WotLK Classic Phase 4?

Primary Goals

The main objective of Brewfest remains consistent with previous years: complete the six specific achievements required for the prestigious Brewmaster title and make progress towards obtaining the Violet Proto-Drake mount, especially if you haven't acquired it yet. In Phase 4, mounts are account-wide, making this the perfect opportunity to have 315% speed on all your alts.

Experience Bonus at Brewfest Camps

Remember the 10% experience bonus available at around 6:10 server time in the morning and at night at the Brewfest camps located outside Ironforge and Orgrimmar. Make the most of this bonus to level up your characters quickly.

Earning Brewmaster Prize Tokens

To earn the Brewmaster title and progress towards the Violet Proto-Drake, you'll need 200 Brewmaster Prize Tokens, the event's currency. You'll also require an additional 40 tokens if luck isn't on your side when it comes to mount drops from Coren Direbrew.

Best Ways to Earn Currency

  • Ram Racing: After completing the introductory quest, engage in repeatable daily quests provided by Neil Ramstein for Alliance or Ram Master Ray for Horde. Pay attention to your chat box to maximize your keg runs. Perfect play can yield at least 30 tokens per day, making Ram Racing your top priority.
  • Brewfest Stein: Visit Belby Quickswitch or Blixfix Widget to acquire your 2023 Brewfest Stein.
  • Chug and Chuck: Worth 10 tokens per day, this quest can be obtained from Boxy Boltspinner or Bizzle Quicklift. Grab the mug behind the quest giver and use it from your inventory to toss it at the walking-style robot.
  • Barking Quest: Complete this quest for 15 tokens. In either Orgrimmar or Iron Forge, ensure you complete each objective with your ram. Dismiss your ram once the objectives are complete, and use your actual mount to return to the quest giver.
  • "This One Time When I Was Drunk" Quest: Every 30 minutes, Dark Iron Dwarves will attack your Brewfest Camp. After defeating them, loot the Cog and turn it in for an additional 10 tokens. This quest also counts toward one of the six Brewmaster achievements.
  • Wolfertanger Tankard: Acquire this by completing the quest from Goldark or Glow Drac. Ask for the Synthro Goggles and use your net on five stunned wolf retainers for the "Knockdown" achievement.
  • Brewfest Diet: If you still need to complete this achievement, purchase all the foods listed on the screen to fulfil the requirements.

New Rewards

Now, let's explore the exciting new rewards that Brewfest 2023 has in store:

  • Coren Direbrew's Drops: Coren Direbrew, now at level 80, drops exceptional new items, including powerful trinkets. These are perfect for gearing up your alts before heading into Cataclysm dungeons. Look out for the ancient pickled egg, summoning trinkets for tanks, and the Chromium Coaster for melee.
  • Two New Weapons: While these weapons are technically part of Brewfest, you might only acquire them once the RDF system arrives on October 10th. The "Direbrew's Bloody Shanker" is a 200-item level dagger, but the real gem is the "Tankard of Terror," a 226-item level BoE weapon, potentially a profitable auction house item.
  • Account-Wide Mounts: Brewfest 2023 introduces the Swift Brewfest Ram and the Great Brewfest Kodo. Acquiring at least one of these mounts completes your sixth and final achievement.
  • Dire Brew Remote: This remote teleports you directly to the Grim Guzzler in Blackrock Depths, making it the quickest way to access the upcoming Cataclysm Blackwing Descent raid.

Brewfest 2023 offers an array of new rewards and opportunities to help you gear up, level up, and prepare for Cataclysm raids. So, grab your tankard and join the celebration because Brewfest is back, and it's better than ever!
