Phase 2 of Season of Discovery is slated to be released on February 8th, with recent patch notes revealing two additional runes per class, making it a total of five inscriptions per character. Even though there has been significant data mining that suggests the possibilities, we will only focus on definite information here.

↖ Warrior Runes

"Rally and Cry" is a cooldown raid-wide spell for warriors that boosts allies' maximum health by +15% within a 40-yard radius for10 seconds. This defensive cool down could serve well in both PvE and PvP, although its usefulness might depend on future content tuning. 

 

Additionally "Blood Surge" mirrors an ability from Fury talent tree in Wrath of the Lich King offering instant rageless Slams after certain attacks which are extremely helpful for Fury Warriors.

 

↖ Paladin Runes

Paladins receive "Sheath of Light", which scales attack power on some spells, and adds another HoT to critical heals (in addition to regular heal). This versatile rune suits different Paladin playstyles. 

 

"Guarded by the Light" introduces mana regen as an alternative mechanic at the cost of reduced healing effectiveness and so can potentially help tanking or leveling efficiency.

 

↖ Hunter Runes

For hunters who love melee fighting, there's "Melee Specialist," which turns Raptor Strike into an instant ability with a shorter cooldown period and can reset itself sometimes. This means that melee hunters have become more versatile now. 

 

Modified Rune "Trap Launcher" separates trap cooldowns and allows them to be deployed during combat thereby becoming fan favourites in pvp circles.

 

Shaman Runes:

Shamans have three teased runes, For tanks this includes single target threat boosting rune called "Spirit of the Alpha". Returning from WotLK is Maelstrom Weapon which decreases casting time of selected spells if the melee damage is high enough.

 

Finally there is "Two Handed Mastery" rune that increases attack speed with two handed weapons, although its viability in comparison to dual wielding remains uncertain.

 

↖ Druid Runes

Duality (Eclipse) replaces increased critical chances between Starfire and Wrath for balance specialization druids. "King of the Jungle" turns Tiger's Fury into a DPS cooldown that benefits feral druids everywhere.

 

↖ Rogue Runes

Rogues gain "Shuriken Toss," an energy-based ability that deals damage to multiple targets and can be used as a pulling tool. 

 

In addition, "Master of Subtlety" boost attacks made while in Stealth thus providing tactical advantages in both pve scenarios.

 

↖ Warlock Runes

Warlocks are introduced to "Invocation" which causes instant damage when refreshing certain DoTs. While its current utility is unclear, it may fit into a larger strategy. 

 

Another example is "Dance of the Wicked", which grants dodge equal to critical strike chance as well as mana regen on crits thereby making warlock survivability and resource expenditure better.

 

↖ Priest Runes

Priests are introduced to "Mind Spike," increasing Mind Blast critical hit rate, which might require further talent support for PvE viability. 

 

A potent defensive CD known as "Pain Suppression" is one way Discipline Priests have been cemented within PvP circles.

Mages welcome "Missile Barrage", where triggering Arcane Missiles involves lower mana cost and cast time reductions. 

The healing mechanic has been an interesting one namely Chrono Preservation; maybe it will sync up with mage talents but this is speculative at best.
