Season of Discovery Hunter Update: Rotations and Pet Choices Change

Yo, yo, what's going on, gamers? It's time for the Season of Discovery Hunter Update, and we've got some spicy changes to chat about. Blizzard dropped a surprise with the recent patch, and it's shaking up your rotations and pet choices. But hey, we're here to break it down and keep you ahead of the game.

Season of Discovery Hunter Update: Rotations and Pet Choices Change

Patch Implementation Surprises

So, about that patch implementation, there's been a curveball with Flanking Strike. Initially, we thought it would trigger a global cooldown, but nope! Blizzard kept it smooth, and it's still not triggering a GCD. Big win for us, especially when we're doing our melee weave rotation. More on that later.

Pet Power Play

Now, let's talk pets. They're all rocking it right now, and picking the best one is like choosing your gaming snack—tough but crucial. Scorpion pet, the one we might've left in the dust, is making a comeback. Scorpid poison got a tweak, spreading the damage over time more evenly. Smart move, Blizzard. This makes the scorpion a beast, especially with the right build.

Hunter Builds Breakdown

  • Scorpion King Build: Improved Aspect of the Hawk (5/5), Master Marksman, Endurance Training (3/5), Improved Revive Pet (2/2), Unleashed Fury (5/5), Ferocity (1/5). Add Beast Mastery and choose Sniper Training or Flanking Strike for leg slot.
  • Wind Serpent Woes: Sadly, the wind serpent got hit. Kill command no longer works with it, putting it down the pet hierarchy.
  • Nuts and Bolts Build: For the gear aficionados, here's a wild one. Master Marksman (5/5), Efficiency (5/5), Lethal Shots (5/5), Aim Shot (1/1), and Chimera Shot for hand. Choose Flanking Strike or Sniper Training for legs. Pet doesn't matter much, but a 2.0 attack speed Raptor or Cat works great.

Melee Weave Rotation Magic

Ever wondered how to pull off the Melee Weave Rotation wizardry? It's like a dance. Auto attack, get into position, hit Chimera shot, auto attack, aim shot, and here comes the fun part. Push W, Raptor strike, and flanking strike in one smooth move. Auto attack, multi-shot, rinse, repeat. Check out the raid version, too.

And there you have it, hunters! Your Season of Discovery update, decoded and delivered. Until next time, happy hunting, and peace out!
