- Why do We Farm Elementals?
- Farming as a Hunter
- Water Elementals (Cresting Charm)
- Air Elementals (Thundering Charm)
- Fire Elementals (Burning Charm)
↖ Why do We Farm Elementals?
The drops from these monsters usually include Elemental Charms that are necessary in the Whirlwind Axe Quest for Warriors when they complete it. Warriors who are at level 30 can use these charms to make their quest faster and thereby get a formidable weapon that is great for pre-raid activities and levelling purposes.
The price for each Elemental charm may range from 70S to 3G on the auction house. A dedicated farming session with an average of 20% drop rate can earn you good wow classic sod gold. In addition to just charms, the elementals also drop important crafting materials like elemental water, air and fire that would become relevant during phase 2 crafting recipes.
↖ Farming as a Hunter
At level 25, hunters can start farming elementals although it's best done at higher levels. Take up this farm now since Phase 2 is coming up shortly, as competition will increase when more players look for them again.
↖ Water Elementals (Cresting Charm)
Hammerfall is where Cresting Charm is found outside Arathi Highlands and can be kited using distance damage spells such as Concussive Shot or Multi-Shot to bring them down. For horde players there could be nearby guards who might help out while alliance may find this hard especially in terms of kiting technique and may consider another hunter to kite with them better.
↖ Air Elementals (Thundering Charm)
These elementals cast charm spells but they can also be handled by hunters using pets to absorb some of their damage. The trick is to kite them till they run out of mana then kill them. However, after inflicting enough damage on these Elementals, alliance Hunters can attract them towards Refugee Point.
↖ Fire Elementals (Burning Charm)
On the other hand, Burning Charm is the most difficult among all three types as it requires a careful kiting around natural terrain features to keep distance. Neither factions have NPC help for these Elementals and so individual prowess matters. It is advisable for hunters to use aggro management pets like cats and get players off them.
Conclusion
Using this guide's tactics, Hunters can successfully farm Elemental Charms and other valuable items in readiness for Phase 2. This offers not only an instant income stream but also positions you well for future market dynamics. Therefore, always have a clear strategy in mind and be prepared to adapt in WoW's Season of Discovery that is full of dynamism as one plays along.
