What the next new world weapon might be and what evidence we have to back it up. From what we've heard, the next weapon will be a focus weapon and it could be one of two things: the Celestial Gauntlet or a Mace. Many people are convinced the Celestial Gauntlet will be the next weapon because it would be easy to add a healing element to it and create some new moves. However, I think Mace is the more interesting choice. 

The Varangian Knights that are currently being tested in the PTR is an important part of the storyline. If players have a Great Axe, for example, the Varangian Knights have the potential to use the same moves. This is why I find it interesting that the Varangian Knights have a Mace and Shield. This enemy has some different move sets compared to Sword and Shield, like a Shield Bash that makes the wielder larger and more powerful, as well as a Charge move that is longer than Sword and Shield. 

The Healers of the Varangian Knights also have different move sets compared to regular healing staffs in New World, like an area of effect healing and an ability that heals the user and gives them a glowing, sparkling texture. It looks like they're testing to see how these moves work and if they should implement them. 

We think a Mace would be the perfect choice for the next new world weapon, as it would give players more flexibility with the different types of Shields they use. This is just a theory, and there's no hard evidence that this will be the next weapon. But I'd love to know what you guys think about it. Drop a comment below and let me know your thoughts.
