You have arrived at the ultimate tier list for Priest racism. This guide is a must-have resource to help you choose the best race for your WoW Priest during the Season of Mastery (SoD) PvP. This tier list is all-encompassing and works in every phase so that you can make an informed decision that will always be right. We have ranked and rated all racial abilities in this category to boost your PVP wins.
- D Tier – Limited Impact
- C Tier – Situational Use
- B Tier – Moderately Effective
- A Tier – Strong Choices
- S Tier – Top Picks for Survival
↖ D Tier – Limited Impact
- Feedback: It does not perform well because it consumes much mana, deals low damage, and can be neutralized. Others are better.
- Elune's Grace: While it reduces ranged damage somewhat and increases dodge slightly, it has a very narrow niche and depends on luck more than anything else.
↖ C Tier – Situational Use
- Starshards: In fast-paced SoD PvP, it is less effective due to its long channel time and high mana cost.
- Shadowmeld: Drinking time can be increased by nobody's approach; still utility is limited.
- Perception: Once the enemy becomes unstealthed, this becomes useless against stealth classes. Stoneform and other racials give humans more consistent rewards here.
↖ B Tier – Moderately Effective
- Touch of Weakness: It offers some damage reduction as well as chance to proc Blackout but there are more useful abilites under pressure.
- Devouring Plague: Although it is a powerful DoT spell, Void Plague supplants it by having lower mana cost and higher rotation priority.
↖ A Tier – Strong Choices
- Hex of Weakness: It has a slow healing debuff with low mana requirement (20 percent) without any cooldowns therefore being flexible in its usage as a debuff spell.
- Shadowguard: Three charged attacks that deal damage, can cause Blackout or Shadow Vulnerability making it very frequent compared to Touch of Weakness which only happens occasionally.
↖ S Tier – Top Picks for Survival
- Desperate Prayer: This ability gives an instant, large heal with no mana cost, making it very powerful for both Disc and Shadow Priests.
- Stoneform: It can cleanse Blinds, Bleeds, Poisons, and Diseases making it a great utility in PvP.
- Fear Ward: The short cooldown and long duration enables this racial to be used for fear protection for the whole group which is vital in managing group pvp.
- Will of the Forsaken: As a racial ability that can remove fears, charms as well as sleep effects similar to Magic Dust, this is ranked as one of the strongest in game terms. This is the difference between victory and defeat.
In conclusion, if you ever get racial swapping at level forty, then Alliance's Disc priests should look into Dwarves because they have Stoneform and Fear Ward. Likewise Undead would be more appropriate for Horde's Disc Priests because they have Will of the Forsaken. Meanwhile on Horde side shadow priests should consider choosing Undead coupled with Troll racials such as Shadowguard or Hex of Weakness. Dwarf should remain among Alliance's Shadow Priests due to its defense capabilities.
