Diablo 4 Barbarian Early Improve Leveling Guides

In Diablo 4, Barbarians will have the ability to carry up to four weapons at once and can switch between them seamlessly during combat. This feature allows for greater flexibility in battle, as players can swap between weapons with different damage types and abilities to suit the situation at hand. Leveling up as a Barbarian in Diablo 4 can be challenging, but with these tips, you'll be able to breeze through the early levels with ease. Here are five ways to improve your leveling as a Barbarian.

Diablo 4 Barbarian Early Improve Leveling Guides

Get Level 4 Before Starting the First Boss

Before starting the first boss, make sure you reach level 4. This will allow you to get Combat Flay, which gives you damage reduction and thorns, making you incredibly strong for the first boss fight and for leveling in general. The fastest way to level up to 4 is to get hit by every mechanic of the boss, as each hit applies thorn damage.

Collect All Possible Herbs

When you arrive at the area, collect all possible herbs. The very first elixir that you can craft with these is a Thor elixir or a weak Iron Barb elixir, which provides a flat amount of experience gain, Diablo 4 Gold, and a flat amount of thorn damage. Keep in mind that the thorn damage does not scale, so the lower level you are compared to the monsters you're fighting, the more damage it does.

Spec into Lunge Instead of Rent

Once you reach level 5, make sure to spec into Lunge instead of Rent or another new ability. Lunge allows you to have a movement option early on, which is super valuable if you're lacking damage. Rent is still a good option, but Lunge is better for speedrunning purposes.

Focus on Hell Spawns

When you get to Vinart, the Act 1 mini-boss fight, always focus on the Hell Spawns, the succubus-looking things, as they will not respawn. On top of that, stand in the little orbs that the Hell Spawns summon, as each one triggers a thorn proc, allowing you to do more damage with your thorns.

Level Up Before the Pilgrimage Quest

The Pilgrimage quest is the hardest quest of Act 1. If you're rushing through the storyline without doing any content outside of it, you'll be around level 7 at this point, while the monsters in this area are around level 12 and do not scale down. The last gold mini-boss, the Fleshless Abomination, is especially challenging and can two-shot you at level 8. You can level up to level 10 or 11 before starting this part or swap to World Tier 1 to make it easier.

In conclusion, by following these five tips, you'll be able to level up your Barbarian quickly and efficiently. Remember to collect herbs, focus on Hell Spawns, and level up before the Pilgrimage quest.
