Once you obtain 10 grim favors, you can take them to the Tree of Whispers and choose a cache of loot that gives you a specific item slot or pieces of loot. This is one of the first ways to start targeting specific slots of loot in the end game.

Another EndGame-specific system that unlocks once you reach world tier 3, Helltide causes one region of the game to be taken over by Lilith and her armies. Completing events, killing bosses, or killing any enemies in this area gives you a new currency called cinders, which can be used on HellTied caches found throughout the region.

 

These caches give you a specific slot of loot and are randomized, so you have to find the chest you want to get the type of loot you're looking for. This is another way to target farm-specific slots of loot in the end game.

With how much Diablo 4 allows players to target farm-specific loot in the base game, it's likely that future seasons will also implement new ways to target farm-new loot.
