The first thing we had to consider was whether or not bringing an ALT account would be beneficial. We decided that it is better for us to travel light and alone, but also warned that PKers might be targeting us.

Investment after investment only leads to one thing: profit or loss. And who wants their hard earned gp going down the drain? Well, since these keys have been bouncing up all over the place lately, this may just be a waste. Regardless, we spent a whopping 12.4 million GP on them. As we near our goal destination in Lava Maze, only time will tell if our investments were smart.

 

↖ Looting The Muddy Chests

The hardest part about looting these chests is simply getting them open. You can't use any interface like other treasure chests in runescape. You must manually use your key on each individual chest.

 

↖ What Have We Found?

After successfully opening each chest without losing anything to PKers ourselves, we've tallied up how many of everything we found from 1000 chests. Our most notable discoveries were Larran's Keys and runes/uncut rubies which were consistent throughout all chests.

Inventory management is huge too considering there is no bank anywhere close by.

We price checked our entire haul after killing monsters for far too long now and got 9.1m OSRS GP as a result. Now this is pretty disappointing as the cost to do all of this was 12.7m GP, losing us about 3.6m GP and time invested.

No, it wasn't worth our time. Effort does not match reward here and there aren't any unique items that you can get from them or anything. This area is best for those who are simply looking for adventure or content creators needing something to film for their audience.
