↖ Talents/How to Play
From C0 to C6, Baizhu's kit revolves around his supportive capabilities, making him a universal staple in all teams. He provides consistent off-field Dendro application, which is beneficial to Dendro characters who used to struggle with inconsistent application.
Baizhu's skill is a simple but efficient ability that is responsible for additional Dendro application, an AoE team heal, and Dendro particle generation. His burst is responsible for long-duration refreshing shielding healing Dendro application and damage percent boosts to Dendro-related DPS.
His Elemental Burst talent investment, Holistic Revivification is his first priority. It summons a thin shield that scales off his max HP, refreshing every 2.5 seconds for a total duration of 14 seconds. The shield simultaneously single-target heals the active character and fires a spirit vein, dealing single-target attack scaling gender damage.
The shield will refresh if one of two conditions is met: the seamless shield is destroyed by enemy attacks or expires at the end of its burst duration. These two conditions guarantee that Baizhu's shield will activate its attack and heal a total of six times during his entire burst, regardless of whether the shield is always destroyed or never destroyed.
Baizhu's energy requirements will be near 180 to 200 in optimal rotations, with his A4 passive, active characters who are healed by his burst will gain a boost for Dendro-related damage. This boost is according to his max HP burning and bloom-related damage.
Baizhu's Elemental Skill, Universal Diagnosis, has pseudo-aoe capabilities and can hit up to three enemies, applying Dendro to each one. It heals your entire party according to Baiju's max HP, which usually heals around 5 to 6k and is Baiju's only source of AoE team healing without weapon passives.
↖ Optimal Weapons
Baizhu has a few weapons that work well with his kit, but there are only four weapons that are optimal for him. These are Jade Winged-Spear, Prototype Amber, Everlasting Moonglow, and Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers.
Jade Winged-Spear is Baizhu's signature weapon, and it provides a heavy HP percent stat stick and an immense flat energy return. Its elemental damage bonus from max HP is up to 40,000, and the largest value that Baizhu gains from this weapon is the HP stat stick and the flat energy return, which provides him with 22.5 energy during his burst. This reduces his burst cost to 58, massively reducing his ER needs.
Prototype Amber is an excellent F2P craftable weapon that has perfect synergy with Baizhu's kit. It provides juicy HP percent flat energy return that scales with refinement, and an additional AoE team heal during his burst.
Everlasting Moonglow is a five-star weapon that provides solid HP percent, but it trades Jade Winged-Spear's energy refund for Moonglow's healing bonus increase. Since Baizhu will primarily be off-field, this weapon is quite inferior to his signature weapon.
Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers is a three-star weapon that grants an HP secondary stat. It is an offensive choice for quick-oriented team comps that utilize the attack percent. Other weapons that can be used on Baizhu include Ode to a Thousand Bards, Hawk's Eye, and Favonius Codex.
↖ Optimal Artifacts and Stats
Baizhu's artifact options are versatile, but most players will probably want to use him on a universal dendro set. Four-piece Viridescent Venerer is an excellent choice for him, as it has 100% uptime with Baizhu's burst and activates off-field. It's perfect for his playstyle.
If you're not running the four-piece Viridescent Venerer, there are several other artifacts sets that you can use for Baizhu. Two-piece Tenacity of the Millelith and two-piece Gladiator's Finale provide energy recharge and attack bonuses, respectively. Emblem of Severed Fate is a burst damage and attack support set that works well with Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers.
For Baizhu's stats, HP is the most important, as it increases his healing and shielding capabilities. Energy recharge is also essential for reducing his burst's energy cost. If you have a C6 Baizhu, you can prioritize his burst and max HP scaling damage with a four-piece Emblem of Severed Fate.
↖ Recommended Baizhu Stats
The two stats that matter the most for Baizhu are his HP pool and recharge rate. To maximize his base HP to 13,000 and obtain a little more HP percentage from his ascension stat, we recommend building Baizhu at a minimum required level of 90. For this build, we suggest using a Prototype Amber at r1, which should allow you to achieve 40,000 HP while maintaining a recharge rate between 180 to 200.
Using a mainsat energy recharge timepiece can help you achieve this. For a more balanced build, we recommend using a four-piece Deep Wood set that can grant you 50,000 HP while also maintaining decent recharge. However, if you choose to sacrifice the four-piece Deep Wood set for a two-piece HP percentage, you can achieve 50,000 HP with a good recharge rate, but it may not be worth it.
↖ Constellations
Baizhu's full potential is almost complete at constellation zero. However, he lacks self-sustainable energy generation, which can be solved by his first constellation. C1 grants his skill an extra charge, allowing you to use two charges or 20 seconds' worth of his skill right away before his burst activation. This can help funnel energy before swapping off with your main DPS.
C2 reduces his effective recharge needs to 140% to 160% lower if you have a double dendro team comp and weapon passives. It provides a mini elemental skill every five seconds that deals attack scaling damage, applies dendro, and heals for 20 of his normal skill healing. In a typical rotation, C2 procs at least four times during his burst, providing extra consistent AOE team healing without the need to use his skill actively. C3, C5, and C6 enhance his burst and skill and provide additional shields that summon more spirit veins that deal enhanced damage.
C4 provides a nice elemental mastery boost after burst activation, which will always be useful on relevant team comps, assisting both bloom and quick and related damage. Overall, Baizhu does not need any of his constellations, especially from C2 and onwards. C1 has the most immediate value by increasing his playstyle efficiency, just like Yellows.
↖ Team Comps & Gameplay
Baizhu reduces the overall energy recharge needs of team comps by combining persistent shields, heals, constant gender reapplication, and damage boosts to both bloom and quicken teams. We can divide dendro teams into two major categories: quicken and bloom. Quicken teams typically end up as aggravated and optionally with the hydro combo hyperbloom. In this realm, so receives the most needed upgrade as Baizhu's dendro application covers for cyanos long duration burst much more effectively than the heater can usually.
Baizhu is a flexible healer that applies dendro application over a long duration. This team template focuses on primarily aggravating damage and, secondarily, hyper bloom damage. The fourth slot opens up double dendro, double electro, animo or john lee, depending on the circumstance, each providing benefits and residence bonuses to the team. The two most popular dps choices for this are Sino and Kaching. Baizhu transforms these quicken teams into a spread aggravate dual dps with a c6 hp enhanced spirit veins.
Bloom teams include standard hyperplume virgin or nilu super bloom. The core of these comps surrounds Baizhu, plus one off-yield hydro, plus your hyperbloom virgin or super loom enabler and a corresponding flux in the hyperbloom, virgin, cookie or Ryden will be the electro activator, and tomo will be the pyro activator.
With the 4 slots occupied with double dendro Zhongli or cryo in this setup, Baizhu or the second dendro, if applicable, is more than welcome to be an on-field driver. These comps feel much more complete with the addition of Baizhu, as he single-handedly protects the entire team buffs the team's damage and applies dendro at a consistent rate to keep the cores generating.
↖ Optimal Builds, Weapons & Artifacts
Baizhu's optimal build is an elemental mastery-focused one, making him ideal for on-field use in Nilu's Super Bloom team comp. Baizhu's optimal weapons include The Flute, Sacrificial Sword, and Festering Desire. The Flute provides additional damage based on character level, Sacrificial Sword enables frequent elemental skill use, and Festering Desire boosts elemental mastery and increases damage dealt by elemental skills. Baizhu's optimal artifacts include the Emblem of Severed Fate and the Scholar's Set, which both focus on increasing elemental mastery and energy recharge.
↖ Closing Thoughts
Baizhu is a versatile dendro character that provides massive flexibility to dendro team comps, reducing their rigidity and making them more effective. He is an ideal support character that can boost any of the relevant dendro teams to their highest potential, no matter where you decide to throw them in. Baizhu is truly one-for-all dangerous support, able to keep your allies standing.
