↖ Boosting IronMan Accounts
IronMan players are willing to pay top dollar for assistance in completing raids. They are shelling out up to 2 billion GP to have main accounts participate in raids and then leave, ensuring they receive the coveted purple drops. If you're experienced in Mega Scale Raids like me, you might be wondering why you didn't get into this Gold-making method earlier. My journey with Mega Scale Raids began five years ago, and my first ever drop was a Dragon Sword – a relic from the past that used to be on the Chambers of Xeric drop table.
Recently, I joined an IronMan boosting Discord to dive into the world of Mega Scale Raids and discover just how lucrative this Gold-making method truly is. Special thanks to Anu and Millis for helping me with this article and hooking me up with my first customer.
↖ The IronMan Boosting Process
My first customer ordered 5 50% Mega Scales, each normally priced at 375 million GP. Thanks to the bulk purchase, he received a 5% discount, bringing the total to 363,825,000 GP per raid. After receiving payment, we embarked on the raid.
In an unusual turn of events, the customer asked to join us in voice chat during the raid, which we gladly allowed. As we ventured into the raid, I couldn't help but feel a bit nervous. However, having Millis in voice chat helped calm my nerves. The potential ranged XP per hour was impressive, and I wondered if more players should explore this method.
Once the raid progressed, my role was to create overloads after defeating the shamans. Each sip of an overload contributed 200 points, and since each raid capped at around 42 overloads (totaling about 35,000 points), it was well worth sipping them.
↖ Conquering the Raid Rooms
In the raid, specific rooms require various strategies. For example, I had to take down the top Mystic by using a Dragon Hunter Lance and chinning it down while Millis healed me. The prospect of tackling this room on my own later in this article was daunting, as it seemed like a lot of hard work.
One of the coolest rooms was the Guardian room, where you can employ the "corporeal beast chicken method." This approach involved using an Arclight, Dragon Warhammer, and Bandos Godsword to reduce the Guardian's stats to almost nothing. Then, you could stand right next to it, making it a breeze to complete.
As an experienced raider, I can attest to the fact that the skills required to excel in these raids are like riding a bike – once you learn them, you never forget.
↖ Unexpected Challenges
During my journey, I encountered a unique challenge. The customer logged out during the raid, leaving me in a dilemma. I had to wait for hours until they returned. Luckily, it was a one-and-done raid, and we obtained Dragon Claws as the drop. It was a humorous twist in an already eventful experience.
↖ The IronMan Perspective
Now, let's take a look at the IronMan perspective. If you're an IronMan player looking to benefit from Mega Scale Raids, here's how it works:
- Enter the raid and visit the scavenger room to collect fishing rods and cave worms.
- Be considerate and gather extra resources like juice, mushrooms, and lockpicks for the boosters.
- Fish, cook food, and deposit them in the shared chest.
- If you have an alternate account, have it eat the fish from the shared chest to maximize points.
- Consider helping with the thieving room.
- Sit back and wait for your purple drop while the boosters complete the raid for you.
↖ The Mega Scale Boosting Process
As a booster, your role is crucial in ensuring IronMan players get the drops they desire. You can offer a variety of Mega Scale Raids, each with different chances of obtaining a purple drop. These are typically paid services, with fees ranging from 800 million GP for a 100% chance to discounts for lower chances.
↖ The Scaling Opportunity
For those looking to make additional GP, you can scale raids for a fee. Players are willing to pay up to 500k GP per account for scaling services. With multiple accounts at your disposal, you can maximize your earnings while helping others complete their raids.
↖ Conclusion
Mega Scale Raids in Old School RuneScape offer an exciting opportunity for both boosters and IronMan players. By mastering the art of boosting and scaling, you can earn substantial profits while helping others achieve their in-game goals. Whether you're a seasoned raider or new to the scene, Mega Scale Raids provide a thrilling and rewarding experience in Gielinor.
