In the meantime, the rumored Lockhart seems to have almost 4 Teraflops performance.

The performance of Xbox Scarlett, Microsoft's next-generation game console, has brought a lot. Although we know that an AMD Zen 2-CPU, a GDDR6 RAM and a solid state drive are used, the actual performance figures are a bit volatile. However, it seems that the target specifications are now more clear thanks to several sources that have spoken with Windows Central.

These sources also confirmed the existence of two SKUs - the lighter Lockhart and the stronger Anaconda. The Anaconda apparently aims at 12 Teraflops, while Lockhart will have about four Teraflops. Both consoles will have eight 3.5 GHz CPU cores, although Anaconda will have a higher clock rate per core than Anaconda.

This does not seem to be a big leap, but the increase in performance of Anaconda will be considerably thanks to caching improvements, new silicon architecture and other proprietary optimizations. The Anaconda will also have 16 GB RAM with 13 GB for games and 3 GB for the operating system.

The other details - such as the use of NVMe SSD technology on both consoles to reduce loading times considerably, or playing by streaming with Project Cloud as games download in the background - are also incredibly fascinating. In terms of downward compatibility, Xbox Scarlett should run all the current Xbox One title. You will even have improvements such as the unlockable frame rate and games with dynamic resolution, which better cut off due to the improved hardware (monster Hunter World on Xbox One X was provided as an example). Functions such as ray tracing for dynamic reflections, however, are most likely only available at Lockhart and Anaconda.

While these rumors should be absorbed with a little salt and could change plans, the existence of two SKUs for Xbox Scarlett becomes more and more likely. We have to wait until next year to learn more. So stay it.
