Hey there, Diablo fans! It's launch day for Diablo 4, and We knows many of you are excited to jump into the action. One of the most common questions we've received is when to break away from the main campaign and start exploring dungeons. Additionally, we've seen some early endgame builds that utilize aspects obtained at lower levels. In this article, we'll discuss the legendary aspects you should absolutely grab while leveling, as they will remain useful even in the endgame.

↖ Aspect 1: Aspect of the Expectant

Location: Scosglen, Act 2 - Under Root Dungeon

 

 

The first aspect you should grab while leveling is the Aspect of the Expectant. You can find it in the Under Root Dungeon in Scosglen. This aspect provides a damaging boost to your core skills. Attacking enemies with a basic skill increases the damage of your core skill cast by 5 to 10 percent, up to 30 percent. The actual damage increase varies depending on the number of basic attacks, but it always reaches the same maximum damage. This aspect is particularly useful because you'll be using resource generators while leveling, so it's essentially free damage for your core skills.

 

↖ Aspect 2: Edgemaster's Aspect

Location: Scosglen, Act 2 - The Downs

 

 

Next up, we have the Edgemaster's Aspect, also found in Scosglen. In the area called The Downs, you'll discover the Old Stones dungeon. The EdgeMasters aspect increases your skill damage based on your available primary resource when cast. You receive the maximum benefit when your resource is full. This aspect is fantastic because it boosts the damage of all your skills. Builds like the Sorcerer, which doesn't heavily rely on resources, benefit greatly from this aspect. Many endgames build, such as the Max Rolls Whirlwind and Twisting Blades Rogue builds, utilize this aspect for their damage increase.

 

↖ Aspect 3: Aspect of the Umbral

Location: Dry Steps, Act 3 - Champions Demise Dungeon

 

 

In the southernmost part of the Dry Steps, you'll find the Untamed Scarps area. To the right of it lies the Champions Demise dungeon. Completing this dungeon will unlock the Aspect of the Umbral for your Codex of Power. The Aspect of the Umbral restores primary resources whenever you crowd control an enemy. Even at the lowest level, it grants one primary resource for each crowd control effect. This aspect is incredibly valuable while leveling because resource management can be challenging early on. Moreover, it remains useful in endgame builds as well. Players are still using this aspect in both the Bone Necro and Twisting Blades Rogue endgame builds.

 

↖ Aspect 4: Aspect of Disobedience

Location: Kazistan, Act 4 - Halls of the Damned

 

 

In Kazistan, head to the far east side of the map, specifically the Scouring Sands area. There, you'll find the Halls of the Damned dungeon, which rewards you with the Aspect of Disobedience upon completion. This aspect increases your armor for four seconds whenever you deal damage. The armor stacks from 25 to 50 percent, depending on the level of the aspect. Armor is one of the most effective forms of defense in Diablo, making this aspect a must-have for survivability. Every endgame build utilizes this aspect as it enhances your barriers and other defensive layers. Best of all, it's completely free—you just need to deal damage to reap the benefits.

 

↖ Aspect 5: Wind Striker

Location: Kazakhstan, Act 4 - Amber Sands

 

 

Lastly, we have the Wind Striker aspect, located in the Amber Sands area of Kazakhstan. The Shifted Runes dungeon grants you the Wind Striker aspect, which increases your movement speed when you critically strike. While leveling, this aspect provides a nice quality-of-life boost, allowing you to clear content faster and level up more efficiently. It may be replaced by better movement speed options later on, but it's definitely handy during the leveling process.
