Poe 3.22 Magic Find Blade Vortex Occultist Build Guide

Greetings, Exiles! In this Path of Exile build guide, we'll delve into a unique and powerful Magic Find (MF) build featuring the Blade Vortex skill. Magic Find builds are all about maximizing the quantity and rarity of items dropped by monsters, making it a lucrative choice for dedicated Exiles. We initially considered an Ethereal Knives build for this League but ultimately opted for a Blade Vortex Occultist due to its excellent damage, survivability, and the added bonus of opening nearby chests when casting spells. Let's dive into the details of this build, starting with the essential items and crafting strategies.

Poe 3.22 Magic Find Blade Vortex Occultist Build Guide

Weapon Choice: The Synthesis Base Bow

Our primary weapon will be a Synthesis base bow. Ideally, you'd want one with a chance to explode, but these can be expensive (around 150 Exalted Orbs). If you're budget-conscious, consider a Synthesis base with +1 to Level of Socketed Support Gems. Other good options include spells having a chance to deal double damage or increased spell damage. For the more budget-friendly option, the Assassin Bow with a valuable implicit can also work.

To craft this weapon, we'll use Deafening Essence of Woe. Aim to roll Tier 1 Global Critical Strike Multiplier. This might require around 36 essences. Afterward, remove all other modifiers, leaving only spell damage and crit multiplier. Then, craft Can have up to three crafted modifiers and Cannot roll Attack modifiers. Finally, use an Exalted Orb to add +1 to Level of Socketed Gems to your bow. If you have one more open prefix, add +2 to Level of Socketed Support Gems and Chance to deal double damage to maximize its potential.

Quiver: The Vial Arrow Quiver

For your quiver, look for the Vial Arrow Quiver base. The mods you're after are Physical Damage as Extra Cold Damage and Physical Damage Converted to Cold Damage. You can create this combination using an Awakened Orb. If you're feeling lucky, try to add Chance to gain Onslaught for 4 seconds on Kill using Etheric and Frigid fossils, but this can be costly. It's often more economical to purchase a ready-made quiver or settle for two of the desired mods.

Helmet: The Royal Burgonet

In terms of your helmet, start with a Royal Burgonet that has Tier 1 Fractured Life. Then, enchant it to gain 30% Blade Vortex Duration. Use Deafening Essence of Loathing to add Tier 1 Increased Rarity of Items Found in the suffix slot. Craft Rarity of Items from Rare and Unique Enemies. Your implicits should include Perfect Mana Reservation Efficiency, and you can choose between Increased Area of Effect or Increased Damage per Power Charges.

Standard MF Gear

For the remaining items in your build, stick to the standard choices for MF builds:

  • Sadima's Touch gloves with Elemental Weakness on Hit.
  • Goldwyrm boots with +1 to Level of Socketed Gems.
  • Greed's Embrace for good quantity and +1 to Level of Socketed Gems.
  • Ventor's Gamble ring for increased Rarity and other useful modifiers.
  • Eyes of the Great Wolf amulet with 20% quantity.
  • An amulet that complements your build, focusing on increased spell damage.

Optimize your flasks for this build:

  • Divination Distillate with a perfect roll for extended effectiveness.
  • A Panicked Divine Life Flask for additional survivability.
  • Taste of Hate for damage and survivability.
  • A Gold Flask with increased effect and additional Rarity of Items Found.
  • Quicksilver Flask with the Chance to gain flask charge when you deal Critical Strike modifier.

Gem Links

  • Blade Vortex is your primary skill.
  • In your body armor, focus on auras, with Zealotry and optionally Purity of Elements.
  • For movement, Lightning Warp is a great choice.
  • Use Herald of Ash with Arrogance for added damage.
  • Employ Blood Rage for Frenzy Charge generation and Life management.
  • Set up Cast when Damage Taken with Molten Shell for added defense.

With this Magic Find Blade Vortex Occultist build, you can effortlessly clear maps, explode enemies, and open chests without the need to click on each one individually. This build offers a perfect balance of damage, survivability, and item quantity, making it an excellent choice for Exiles seeking to maximize their loot.
