Rank five of this item has 23% damage, 7.5% critical strike chance, 13% lucky hit chance, four ranks of Whirlwind, and the lovely effect.

With a Whirlwind build, these gloves definitely caused damage. 

When you slow down the effect, you can clearly see it. 

As you might expect, the damage is significant and higher than what you would do with a regular Whirlwind Barb.
