On January 23rd, the end of January will see the beginning of season three which is expected to be a smooth transition from season 2. This season includes new powers, side stories and fun-filled activities. One of its stand-out features includes The Gauntlet, which is a procedurally generated dungeon offering a consistent challenge across all players. Combined with the addition of leaderboards, Season three is expected to heighten the competitive aspect of Diablo 4.

↖ End Game Content Expansion: More Bosses and Alternate Routes

Season three aims at enriching the end game experience. Expect more endgame bosses just like what happened in Season 2. The developers are working on other ways players can get high item power gear besides current farming methods.

↖ HellTide Overhaul: Increased Activity and Accessibility

Major changes are coming to Hell Tide; it will be active for 55 minutes an hour reducing downtime to just 5 minutes. The above change addresses community feedback making HellTide more holistic to the game's farming cycle.

Itemization changes will be one of the main focuses going into Season 4. Developers want gear affixes to be simplified so that every stat has value and purpose. Assigning specific affixes to gear slots may be done in order to streamline gear assessment and balancing using this approach. Additionally, Season 4 is expected to revamp legendary affixes as well as Codex or Power thereby enhancing inventory management in-game.

The coming months of July and October will mark the start of Seasons 5, 6 respectively beyond season four.
