How to Reduces Runescape PvM Incoming Damage?
Runescape PvM (Player versus Monster) is a popular form of combat in the MMORPG Runescape. It involves fighting against monsters and other players in order to level up and gain resources. The objective in PvM is to defeat the monsters and complete the tasks in order to progress. In PvM, incoming damage is one of the most important factors in determining your success. Incoming damage is the damage taken from monsters and other players. It is important to understand how incoming damage works in order to improve your chances of success. If you're looking for ways to reduce incoming damage in Runescape PvM, even if Jagex were to nerf the anime dead spell, then there are several ways to do so.
Cripple mama
Cripple mama is one of the most popular methods that players use in order to reduce incoming damage. By wearing two pieces of this armor, you will receive 12 magic damage reduction and 8% melee damage reduction, and with three pieces, you will receive 18 magic damage reduction and 12 melee damage reduction.
Emerald aurora spell
Another way to reduce incoming damage is to use the emerald aurora spell. By tying an earth spell to your auto-cast and using three pieces of cripple mama, you will receive 24 magic damage reduction and 16 melee damage reduction. Additionally, by using the emerald aurora spell, you will gain five stacks of five percent damage reduction when it is cast.
Cow fighter rebounder
you can also use a cow fighter rebounder to reduce incoming damage. This will give you access to defensive abilities such as reflect, revenge, and resonance, as well as reduce your cooldowns. While using a rebounder will reduce your DPS and slow down your kill times, many players already use one in order to reduce incoming damage.
Debilitate
Debilitate is a great way to get extra benefits in combat. With this spell, you can create a barricade, or the Camper Defender, to take damage for you and reduce your damage intake. If you need to, you can also use a Hellhound to do the same. To boost your defense, you can also use the spell Fortitude, which will increase your defense by 50 and give you a 3% damage reduction.
Auras
it's important to note that auras are also important, and should still be used where applicable. For example, if you need accuracy, you can use accuracy auras. If you need maniacal, reckless, or berserk, those auras can also be helpful. You can also use the Age of Vampirism, although you will lose some DPS.
To demonstrate this in action, you can see a Xamarack Duo at 100 Rage with Angel. In this situation, the player used a Hellhound, was in full Bloom, and used the Emerald Aurora spell, except when about to charge a pad, when Insight Fear was used. After that, Emerald Aurora was used again. During this entire part of the fight, hardly any food was eaten, and no prayer flicking or struggle was necessary.
Even if Animate Dead gets removed (or tweaked to make it less OP), these methods still work, although you may need to cut your DPS a bit more than you would with Animate Dead. Learning to pray flick is also important, as it can help you with the last phase of Xamarack (or other bosses), although it is not necessary.
Overall, there are several ways to reduce incoming damage in PvM, even if Jagex were to nerf the anime dead spell. Cripple mama, the emerald aurora spell, and the cow fighter rebounder are all viable options to reduce your incoming damage and make PvM easier.
