What is Runecrafting?
Runecrafting is a skill in Runescape that allows you to craft runes from the essence that you've gathered from mining and quests. You can use these runes for a variety of purposes, such as casting spells, enchanting objects, and more. As you level up your Runecrafting skill, you'll be able to craft higher-level runes that have more powerful effects.
What do I need to start Runecrafting?
To start Runecrafting, you'll need a few things. First, you'll need to have a Runecrafting level of at least 56. You'll also need to have a set of Runecrafting pouches, which can be bought in the Grand Exchange or obtained from quests. You'll also need to have the necessary rune and essence to craft the runes you want to create.
How do I level up my Runecrafting skill?
There are a few methods you can use to level up your Runecrafting skill. The first is to craft runes. You can use the essence and runes you have gathered to craft higher-level runes, which will give you experience toward your Runecrafting skill. The second is to complete quests that give Runecrafting experience. The third is to play the mini-game Guardians of the Rift. This mini-game will give you rewards in the form of pearls which can be exchanged for a Runecrafting experience.
What rewards can I get from Runecrafting?
Runecrafting rewards you with the Runecrafting experience, runes, and other rewards such as the Runecrafting outfit. The Runecrafting outfit gives you a bonus to your Runecrafting experience when worn. You can also get the Abyssal Needle, which allows you to craft higher-level runes at lower levels, and the Abyssal Lantern, which will stop your pouches from degrading.
How to Make Double Cosmic Runes?
We've hit a really interesting level with rune crafting, which allows us to make double chaos runes, which is almost as good as single nature runes. An inventory of double chaos runes is worth 10,000 and an inventory of single nature is around 11 or 12k right now.
With the OSRS Gold we made, we were able to unlock two chunks, which allowed us to start the Lost City quest. We unlocked the Introna chunk, which gave us access to the Introna Dungeon, and the East Lumbridge Swamp chunk, which gave us access to the Lumbridge Shack. This allowed us to complete the quest and unlock Zanaris, giving us access to cosmic runes.
Crafting cosmic runes was a bit of a grind, taking about five hours to get from level 74 to 75. But it was worth it, as we got access to the giant pouch, which increased our experience and money per hour. We also managed to craft 45,000 cosmic runes, which we sold off for 4.5 Mil OSRS GP.
Finally, we collected our giant pouch from the abyss and our mid-game rune crafting setup was complete. We have all the basic pouches, and our best money maker unlocked until the 90s. Now we have to make a big decision: Which route are we going to take? The Mauritania route, the Pre Dennis route, or the desert?
Conclusion
We hope that this Runescape Runecrafting Guide has been helpful in teaching you how to level up your Runecrafting skill. Remember to craft higher-level runes, complete quests that give Runecrafting experience, and play the mini-game Guardians of the Rift to get rewards. Good luck and have fun!
