The Stargirl series will end after this season
There are several series that the DC company has recently handled on different streaming platforms and television chains, this normally with adaptations in the CW . This happened a few months ago with the cancellation of Bat woman , and now Stargirl is having the same destination, something that will surely disappoint fans.
This series will end with its third season, with the new episodes transmitting weekly with a contemplated end for December 7 . The series, created by Geoff Johns , is starring Bred Basinger , is the character who started Johns's career as a comic writer when he created it in 1999, inspired by his sister who He died in a plane crash in 1996.
The cancellation of Stargirl occurs less than a month after Nectar Media Group will complete its acquisition of the chain. It adds to series such as The Flash, Riverdale and Nancy Drew , which are also ending. However, unlike other adaptations, scriptwriters have been notified with time to give them an end.
This is what Johns said about it:
Stargirl has always held a special place in my heart for many reasons. With all the changes that are brewing, we knew that this was possibly the last season, so we wrote with that in mind and deliver what I think is the best Stargirl season so far, with a complete creative closure. The cast and the team are extraordinary, and I would like to thank you for helping me to give life to this series. Bred embodied Courtney in all possible ways, with grace, strength and humor, overcoming my most crazy expectations. I am grateful to WBTV and The CW for giving us a home to tell this story and honor my beloved deceased sister, and I am more than grateful to the press and fans who have always defended us for three incredible seasons. Most series never get so far. We could not be more proud of our program and the fans' community he has created.
Remember that the first two seasons are available in HBO Max.

Editor's note: When managers change in any company there are always abrupt changes, this has also happened at Warner Bros. Discovery when they started canceling many series. So I hope I will be given a worthy ending to the series.
