The Moogle Treasure Trove event for the hunt for mendacity has launched in FFXIV 6.3. We have until the launch of patch 6.4, which is expected to be in late May, to participate in the event. This event allows players to farm allagan tomestones and exchange them for various rewards. In this guide, we will discuss the fastest farm methods for the event.
- 3 Farming Methods For Event Items
- Method 1: Visit of the Father and Raid
- Method 2: Go Through All of Tam-Tara Deepcroft
- Method 3: PVP
↖ 3 Farming Methods For Event Items
Before we dive into the methods, let's discuss some of the event's rewards. Some items are duds, but there are others that are always good to stock up on.
Now, let's talk about the farming methods. There are 3 primary methods to consider, and two of them are best done with the blue mage. The third method doesn't require a blue mage and also gives experience and PvP rewards. However, nothing should stop a group of DPS from doing the first two methods if they prefer not to use blue mage.
↖ Method 1: Visit of the Father and Raid
The first method is to cue into the Visit of the Father and Raid, the normal mode. The first Alexander raid was a bunch of Blue Mages. You could get away with one or two people not being on it, but you'd want more Blue Mages for sure.
The trick here is that, unlike some of the other areas where we have cheese, it's very important actually for this one that you have your Blue Mage with at least a decent set of spells. Spells related to Blue Mage are a huge DPS boost, so it's important to have some of them. The core spells necessary for all Blue Mages are A Theoric Mimicry, Great Sun, and Final Sting. Guard and Peculiar Light are also essential. The more spells you have, the better.
Off-level cooldown spells like Glass Dance, Shock Strike, and J Kick would be more than helpful. White Wind as a heal definitely can come in handy because you're going to be taking a lot of damage. In terms of coordination with Blue Mages, the largest thing would be to moon flute, whistle final staying on the fast and then the rest.
Ideally, the six other Blue Mages dump all of their whistle moon flute final stings at the end of the last fights to get those two bosses down. Remember that you need them both to go down around the same period of time.
↖ Method 2: Go Through All of Tam-Tara Deepcroft
The second method involves going through all of Tam-Tara Deepcroft hard, which gives 4 times to clear. This method is a lot more involved than the first one. Similar to most dungeons, you'll want to use Death on ads, but here, you want to use Death on ads before the first and the third boss. Saintly Beam clears out the ads before the second boss. You will also need Saintly Babe for the second boss, as it will absolutely smash your Blue Mage into oblivion if you don't have it.
↖ Method 3: PVP
The third method is to do PvP, specifically The Feast (4 vs 4). The rewards for this method are better than the other methods, but it provides experience and PvP rewards.
Conclusion:
These are the fastest farm methods for the Moogle Treasure Trove event in FFXIV 6.3. The first two methods require Blue Mage, but the third method doesn't. Choose the method that works best for you and enjoy farming those tomestones!
