While a team like RNG has been dominant in almost all of their games, T1 and G2 Esports have had a pretty rough time with quite worrying comings and goings for both Koreans and Europeans.
After five days of absolute madness, the Rumble Stage has just concluded after the comings and goings of almost all the teams that have participated in this second round of the League of Legends MSI this year. While a team like RNG has been dominant in nearly all of their games, T1 and G2 Esports have had a pretty rough time with quite worrying comings and goings for both Koreans and Europeans.
But this time, we will not talk about Faker and company but the noisy path of the samurai along with the Rumble Stage and their stumbling adventure in Korean lands. Despite a spectacular start, Ocelote's men fell into the deep end after winning four games in a row, going from 4-0 in this second phase to a painful 4-5, that is, five consecutive losses.
The first two days of G2 Esports were a dream: On the first day of the Rumble Stage, they beat none other than RNG and T1, basically the favorites to win the international title. With an outstanding League of Legends and caps and a Flakked full of energy, the samurai seemed unstoppable, seeing that the second day was another recital of the contender from the old continent.
However, PSG Talon was the first to give the punch that would knock him down, thus arriving after a series of quite painful defeats and with a game that was far from good. And it is that after this game, G2 Esports seemed more like a Super League team than being the LEC champion. While it is true that they went very well at the beginning, in return, they have not found victory yet (with a game against Evil Genuises to go), and it does not seem that they will find it if they continue with this pessimistic philosophy.
Luckily, RNG was there to save him from the tragedy after beating PSG Talon, the great enemy, and Ocelote. That was a real annoyance for all the teams and Saigon Buffalo, who found the first victory after being left out of the Rumble Stage. This is how, after a roller coaster of emotions and results by the European club, G2 Esports sneaks into the next round of MSI, waiting to find out their rival at the end of the day. However, everything indicates that it will be one of the two Asian monsters.
